Preserving South America’s Natural Heritage
Our Commitment to Tree Planting and Land Conservation
When I moved to Paraguay, the reality of deforestation hit me hard. The alarming news articles I had read were not just sensationalized reports; they were stark reflections of the devastating environmental degradation happening across the country. Between 1990 and 2010, nearly 90% of Paraguay’s forests were wiped out, leaving behind barren landscapes and eroded ecosystems. This destruction had far-reaching consequences, not just for the environment but for the livelihoods of the people living there.
Upon settling in, I took immediate action. I constructed five ponds, built a dam, and planted over 500 trees. I created a drainage system that redirected water from the eroding earthen streets into our ponds—a solution that not only kept the damaged roads from further erosion but also ensured that our retention ponds remained flooded. This effort was a win-win situation: the streets, which previously collapsed every six months due to severe erosion, were stabilized, and our ponds flourished, creating a vital water resource. However, this was one of the most challenging periods of my life. By day, I was immersed in water management, and by night, I was tirelessly developing Trabajo24™.
All this work took place on a friend’s land, while I was in the process of purchasing a 1-hectare plot of land right next to it. When I signed the papers for this land, there were about 80 natural springs. These springs were a sign of a healthy ecosystem, but by the time I revisited the land, they had dried up, leaving the soil parched. In stark contrast, the property where we invested in sustainable practices still had flowing water, though the two wells already present when I arrived in 2017 had also run dry. We endured nearly a year without running water.
It became clear to me that building my home on this new land wasn’t feasible. The water was gone, and restoring it would be a long, arduous battle. Instead, I decided to dedicate this land to a higher purpose—transforming it into a water retention zone, replanting trees, and preserving it as a natural sanctuary.
However, after leaving Paraguay, I could no longer actively prevent deforestation. During a visit in November 2023, I saw firsthand the devastating impact—only a handful of small springs remained intact. I knew I had to take action. I couldn’t simply leave the land and hope it would recover on its own. We need to actively work to restore and protect water sources.
When I traveled to Paraguay in November 2023, the harsh reality of deforestation hit me in a way I had never experienced before. As my flight crossed over Brazil, I spent two hours looking down at the devastating aftermath of deforestation. What I saw was nothing short of heartbreaking—miles upon miles of barren, burned land, with no signs of vegetation or life. It was a sight that brought me to the verge of tears.
I’m not usually one to take photos, but that day, I found myself compelled to document the devastation. I took around 200 pictures of the stripped landscape—land that had once been lush, vibrant, and teeming with life. Now, it was nothing but a vast expanse of scorched earth. The farms below, acting under the guise of providing food, had mowed down everything in sight, even along riverbanks. It was clear that these monumental farms were operating with a short-sighted mindset. They may argue that they are feeding the world, but what good is food when the very environment that sustains us is being destroyed? When the air is too polluted to breathe, and the water too contaminated to drink, who will be left to eat the food they produce?
This experience further solidified my resolve to do something about the rampant deforestation not just in Paraguay, but across the entire continent. But I quickly realized that I couldn’t rely on existing organizations to help. Before my trip, I had tried reaching out to reforestation organizations like “A Todo Pulmón” and MADES. I contacted them through every possible channel—email, Facebook, and even by phone. But my efforts were met with silence. No replies, no acknowledgment. It became clear that if we wanted to make a difference, we would have to do it ourselves.
Our Vision for Sustainable Growth
This realization led to a bold decision: once Trabajo24™ achieves success, we will commit ourselves to aggressive reforestation, the creation of water retention zones, and the conservation of threatened lands. But how do we fund such a monumental initiative?
Our platform’s token system offers a unique solution. We have reserved a portion of our tokens specifically for marketing purposes, and what better way to market our platform than by planting trees? This isn’t just a promotional activity; it’s a commitment to the environment.
Our Strategy:
- 2% of Presale Sales for Reforestation: From the very start, 2% of the revenue generated from our presale will be directly invested in tree planting initiatives. This ensures that as we grow, we give back to the earth that sustains us.
- 1% of Every Job for Conservation: Every transaction on the Trabajo24™ platform will contribute 1% towards reforestation and land conservation. While 1% may seem small, it adds up, especially as our platform scales. This fund will be used to purchase land, protect it from deforestation, and restore it to its natural state.
Our commitment is unwavering. We can’t promise to solve the entire problem overnight, but we are determined to do everything in our power to increase this percentage as much as possible. South America was once the lungs of the world, and it’s our mission to help it breathe again. Many people focus on Brazil when talking about deforestation, but this is a continent-wide issue. Every country in South America must take responsibility for the preservation of its forests.
Looking Ahead
We know that this is just the beginning. As Trabajo24™ grows, so will our environmental initiatives. Our goal is not just to build a successful platform but to ensure that our success contributes to the health of the planet. By integrating sustainable practices into our business model, we can create a legacy that goes beyond profits—a legacy of regeneration, conservation, and hope for future generations.
If you share our vision and want to be part of this transformative journey, join us in our mission. With every project completed on Trabajo24™, you’re not just getting the job done—you’re helping to heal the earth. Together, we can make a difference. Let’s plant the seeds of change, one tree at a time.
